Transcription: In this busy floating market at Damnoen-Suduk, just southwest of Bangkok, women and men in wide-brimmed straw hats paddle boats laden with fresh fruit, vegetables and meat. Indeed, Bangkok was a city originally designed for boats. Rivers and canals were the highways for goods and passengers. Today, however, most canals have been filled in and converted to roads, and Damnoen-Suduk is one of the few reminders of this traditional way of life. you
